Makhijani has over 14 years of experience in building brands for a digital world with a specialised focus on media, social media and digital marketing. She has worked for top tier brands including Intel, Amazon and FMCG brands (Unilever, Coke, etc) from her publisher/agency stints. Her role runs across media, social and creative with experience across the full spectrum: digital media planning and buys, media creative, social media and content strategy and execution and measurement.
She currently leads the Digital Marketing and Media function at Intel India, and previously was the Digital Brand Manager at Amazon, working across its portfolio of brands including Kindle, Amazon.in and Amazon Fashion. Prior to Amazon, she worked at Yahoo as Senior Strategist and Brand Solutions and a host of creative agencies including SapientNitro, Rediffusion and MTV. Over her career, she has received 20+ Creative and Media Awards including Effies, Abbys, Webbys, YouTube leaderboard, etc, internal recognition and awards including Yahoo's leadership program at IIM Bangalore and participated in global forums. She has also invested the last four years training undergraduate mass communication students in digital marketing and social media.
