New Delhi: As India celebrates its 78th Independence day, brands have left no stone unturned in registering their admiration and gratitude towards the nation, its soldiers and the diversity of culture, traditions and languages that it stands for. 

While some brands shed light on the valour of India’s soldiers, others took the creative route with custom anthems and films that capture their idea of our motherland. 

In this article, BuzzInContent.com has included work done by Jindal Stainless, JSW, MDH, ITC, Tata Tea Premium, JK Paper, Aaj Tak and ixigo. 

  1. Jindal Stainless celebrates India with Independence day themed song 

Jindal Stainless launched a song on the occasion of Independence Day to celebrate the progressive and collaborative spirit of India. The song is an original composition sung by students from Vidya Devi Jindal School and O P Jindal Modern School at Hisar, Haryana. The song aims to capture the pride and joy of being an Indian, while also envisioning a country built on the stainless values of unity, innovation, and resilience.

This song is an ode to the swadeshi dream of the founding fathers and entrepreneurs of India. Alongside the students featured in the video who have performed the song, the video also features employees of Jindal Stainless.

  1. JSW dissects the colours of the national flag

Conceptualised by TBWA\India, the campaign aims to offer a fresh perspective on the Indian national flag, celebrating the diversity of its colours. The film follows school children playing during their recess. The game involves identifying objects of a specific colour collectively chosen by these children. As the game progresses, the film celebrates the colour blue through different objects in the classroom. 

The playful climax is a moment of joy as the film concludes with celebrating the significant role of blue, which symbolises progress, and the force that keeps the nation moving forward and keeps the tricolour soaring high. 

  1. ITC pays tribute to nation with ‘Desh Ek Raag’

ITC has paid tribute to the nation with the creation of a musical composition ‘Desh Ek Raag’ performed by the Gurus and Shishyas of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy (ITC-SRA). 

The composition aimed to capture the confluence of Hindustani Classical Music forms, rooted in the cultural traditions of the country. The musical ensemble aims to combine western and Indian instrumental accompaniments to play Hindustani Classical tunes in order to contemporise Indian classical music for the younger generations. 

Performed by ITC-SRA Gurus and scholars, in collaboration with other artists, the special composition aims to be an ode to the Nation, in which Parampara and Pragati (Tradition and Progress); Viraasat and Vikas (Heritage and Development) go hand-in hand. 

  1. Tata Tea Premium celebrates India’s historical milestones post-independence 

Tata Tea Premium-Desh Ki Chai launched its Independence Day film, #DeshkaGarv-Pradesh Ki Kala. 

This film aims to celebrate moments of pride from India’s post-independence journey such as the Green Revolution of Punjab that contributed towards making the country self-sufficient in food grains, Delhi’s 1982 Asian Games that heralded the start of Colour TV revolution, among other such events. 

With an attempt to immortalise these milestones and let consumers reminisce India’s proud history, the brand has launched a limited-edition regional art inspired #DeshKaGarv collection. 

The #DeshKaGarv collection has been created in association with The Plated Project, an organisation that strives to solve hunger crisis through art. The art pieces include Odisha’s Hirakud Dam, which stood as the World’s Largest Earthen Dam at the time of its inauguration in 1957 depicted in Pattachitra Art Form, Madhya Pradesh’s Sanchi Stupa A UNESCO world heritage site depicted through the famous Gond Art Style from the state.

  1. JK Paper delivers handwritten letters for Indian army soldiers in collaboration with Curly Tales

JK Paper has unveiled the ‘Sandese Aate Hai’ campaign, dedicated to honouring and expressing gratitude to the soldiers safeguarding our borders.

This year-long initiative, in partnership with Curly Tales, features digital content creator Kamiya Jani and aims to revitalise the tradition of handwritten letters, allowing citizens to send personal messages to Jawans at the border.

The ‘Sandese Aate Hai’ campaign, will roll out in multiple phases and is aimed at celebrating patriotism and enhancing community engagement during important national days and events. 

The campaign will feature on-ground activations such as school programs and Vox-Pop interviews. These activities will invite students and teachers from 100 schools, as well as people from various backgrounds, to write messages of gratitude and appreciation for our soldiers. These letters, penned on JK Paper, will be handed over by Jani to the soldiers stationed at the military bases across five different borders.

  1. MDH unveils patriotic song celebrating “Jai Bharat”

To celebrate the Nation's Independence Day, MDH released “Jai Bharat” a patriotic song, which aims to strike a chord with all Bharatwasis's and push each person to make Bharat Viksit and Vishwa Guru. 

This athem besides remembering the great freedom fighters of the country who have given their lives in the service of Ma Bharati, also aims to show a path to the present and future generations to be ready to give everything for their motherland. 

Phrases in the Anthem like  "Aasman pe hum chaayenge.,Jo karna hai kar jaayenge, Rok sako to rok ke dekho, hum na roke jaayenge" and "sone ki chidiya tha apna bharat humko gyaat hai,phir aise he bharat ka nirmaan karo to baat hai. Desh bada hai har mazhab se yuva shakti ka naara hai,viksit bharat ho apna ab ye sankalp hamara hai" aim to give a clear message to the countrymen to unite and aim for  Unnat and Viksit Bharat. 

Lines in the Anthem "Agni jaisa taap ho jisme  agniveer ban jaata hai,aur vaayu ki gati se chalta to Tejas kehlaata hai" are a salute to the soldiers and scientists.

  1. Aaj Tak pays respect to Bhagat Singh with AR filter

Aaj Tak is set to present a special episode of "Jai Ho" hosted by Sweta Singh along with Shilpa Shetty featuring Hussainiwala, a site of historical significance where Shaheed Bhagat Singh was cremated and which houses his pistol.

In conjunction with the special episode, Aaj Tak is powering Instagram with an Augmented Reality (AR) filter of Bhagat Singh as part of its digital campaign under the hashtag #JaiHo. 

The AR filter allows its users to 'virtually' wear Bhagat Singh’s hat and moustache by scanning the QR code.

  1. Ixigo matches India’s tourist spots with its tri-colours

ixigo launched a campaign on Instagram #CelebratingIndia, leading up to Independence Day which features a series of nine reels designed to align with the colors of the Indian tricolor. The film showcases India’s unique landscapes, inviting travellers to explore the diverse terrain that unites us as a nation.

The saffron section of the campaign celebrates India's historic landscapes with the Saffron Dunes of Rajasthan, where Thar desert, Pushkar desert, Bikaner desert, Jodhpur desert, etc., reflect the state's rich culture. It also highlights Breathtaking Sunset Spots such as Varanasi Ghats, Alleppey beach, Brahmaputra river, among others, across the country. The section ends with a tribute to Famous Forts of India, featuring Amber Fort, Red Fort, Golconda Fort, Mehrangarh Fort.

In the white section, ixigo captures the pristine beauty of India's landscapes. It begins with Year-Round Snow in India including Rohtang Pass, Auli, Siachen, Chang La Pass etc. It also showcases India's Serene Waterscapes with the likes of Chandratal lake, Havelock island, Agatti beach, among others, capturing tranquil scenes of lakes, rivers, and coastal waters. It concludes with India's Largest Salt Desert, portraying the vast white expanses of the Rann of Kutch.

The green section maps India's natural wonders. It starts with the Tea Trails of India, offering a glimpse of Darjeeling, Munnar, Kangra, Nilgiri, and Assam tea plantations. It also explores Iconic Forest Reserves, highlighting India's rich biodiversity parks such as Jim Corbett, Kaziranga, Sundarban, Bandipur National Parks, among others. The section wraps up with Scenic Treks of India, showcasing Chembra Peak, Valley of flowers, Parashar Lake and Rajmachi trek, etc.
