New Delhi: Flipkart has onboarded Tanmay Bhat and RJ Karishma as hosts for its Big Billion Days sale live show.
The partnership is brought to life by OML.
Pulling a reverse psychology move, Bhat is seen narrating reasons why people should NOT tune into the e-commerce giant’s live sale streaming from Sep 16 at 7 pm.
In his reel post, he said, “Kitni baar bolu, not to watch par tumse hoga hi nahi Kyunki @flipkart Big Billion Days sale pe dhamakedaar deals aarahe hain!!”
In his signature comic style, Bhat calls out all ‘papa ki paris’ and ‘papa ki pras’ to not participate in the sale and pay full price for products.
He also appeals to the ‘freebie lovers’ in people and reveals the live show he will be hosting with RJ Karishma during the live sale.
According to Bhat, the show will capture three guests, with the comedian interacting with each of them as the sale proceeds.
His presence aims to add a fun and engaging element to the proceedings, keeping viewers entertained while also promoting the deals and offers available during the sale.
Ekta Checker, Associate Director - Category and Central Marketing, Flipkart reflected on the film and said, “Based on learnings from our journey and learnings from countries like China we had various insights on what really works and the reasons for people to come and stay for longer since it's a 30-minute show.”
Pankaj Malani, Sr. VP & Revenue Head @ Only Much Louder (OML), encapsulated the initiative and said, “The entire thing was pulled off by a sea of folks, at both Only Much Louder and of course at Flipkart.”
The live show is scheduled on the Flipkart app starting at 7pm tonight - FK Zero Hour, hosted by Tanmay Bhat and RJ Karishma and a bunch of multiple creators, soon to be revealed.
