Celebrating World Tourism Week, travel platform ixigo has launched its digital campaign ‘Ghoomo India’ in a bid to boost domestic travel. The campaign’s aim is to inspire Indian travellers to explore iconic destinations in India that are still under-explored.
‘Ghoomo India’ is aligned with PM Modi’s vision to make India into a ‘Tourism Superpower’ by encouraging both domestic tourism and foreign tourist inflow. ixigo has identified 15 destinations in India taking into account different types of travellers and their travel needs.
The list which includes destinations like Alleppey, Havelock Island, Coonoor, Pushkar, Darjeeling, Ziro Valley, Parashar Lake, Varanasi and more, caters to a wide range of experiences that travellers today are seeking, be it spiritual, eco-friendly, cultural vibrancy or offbeat.
The travel platform will be promoting these destinations in the form of a digital archive across its social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
As a part of the campaign, ixigo is running a special sale offering its users 10% cashback as ixigo money on all domestic flight bookings and Rs 1000 ixigo money to new users. ixigo is also giving two lucky users the chance to win free return flight tickets worth Rs 25,000.
