Radico Khaitan has launched an animated video series, titled '1971 War Chronicles', to honour and celebrate the lesser-known gallant stories of brave Indian warriors during the battles fought during the 1971 India-Pakistan War.
The series is divided into five episodes: The Battle of Basantar (Jammu), the Battle of Longewala (Bhuj), the Battle of Hilli (East Pakistan), Operation Trident (Naval Operation), and The Tangail Airdrop (Yamuna Bridge – Dacca).
The animated series tells the story of the five battles that defined the war as well as ensured India's victory. Moreover, it sheds light on the lesser-known details surrounding these conflicts and how these brave soldiers went above and beyond their call of duty. It has been launched under the umbrella of ‘Spirit of Victory’.
Amar Sinha, COO, Radico Khaitan, said, “We created a premium rum 1965 Spirit of Victory as first product under the umbrella of “Spirit of Victory” product range four years ago as a means of expressing our appreciation to the soldiers, martyrs, and their families, and it was wholeheartedly received by the armed forces. We are now extending our efforts to the next war in the string of victory wars with Pakistan. We decided to commemorate and honour their sacrifices during the 1971 Indo-Pak War by producing an animated video series on the digital platform, so that it not only reaches a significant proportion of individuals but also make the youth aware of our warriors' noble acts of patriotism. This series represents a small effort to pay tribute to their bravery and devotion to the country.”
“Moreover, Radico Khaitan previously created a similar animated video series on the 1965 War Chronicles to pay tribute to raise awareness about little-known facts of the war and the sacrifices made by our soldiers,” he added.
The episodes are being telecast on all the digital platforms of the brand.
