The Viral Fever and Mumbai Traffic Police have joined hands to raise awareness around the dangers of triple riding on two-wheelers, through a short video featuring TVF’s popular trio – Sumeet Vyas, Amol Parashar and Maanvi Gagroo – from the Tripling series.
The engaging short video has the three actors triple riding to make the message heard. The trio is seen on the streets, struggling to fit on a single two-wheeler. Much to their annoyance, they are caught by the police for triple riding and try to sweet talk their way out of the issue. The senior cop reprimands their actions and asks them to pay a fine. To the spectators’ surprise, the cop fining them was actually the popular Red FM jockey, RJ Akriti, who reveals her identity once the trio understands the hazards of triple riding. The video concludes with the reminder that “Tripling only looks good on-screen, and not on the roads”.
Commenting on TVF’s road safety awareness campaign about triple rides on two-wheelers, Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Traffic, said, “It is essential to create more awareness about the hazards of such activities through strong campaigns such as the Tripling Road Safety Awareness campaign. I feel certain that the citizens will support us in ensuring that our city roads are safe; and will avoid triple riding and stop anyone from doing so.”
Sameer Saxena, Chief Content Officer and Head of TVF Originals, said, “At TVF, we have always wanted to use the reach that we have to make a difference and create a positive impact. With the second season of Tripling out now, which features a road trip, we knew we had to speak about road safety to make the audience aware. We are glad to have partnered with Mumbai Traffic Police and Red FM to create awareness about the dangers of triple riding among Mumbaikars. Tripling rides can be fun especially with siblings, and if one wishes to do it, opt for any four-wheeler or public transport, rather than a two-wheeler.”
