Mars has launched #HereToBeHeard, a new global crowdsourcing campaign that elevates the voices of women from all intersections – including race, age, sexuality, religion and ability – to help shape a more inclusive business environment and create a world where all women can thrive.
To take this conversation forward, India’s leading content creator and actor Dolly Singh who has been an active advocate for women empowerment for many years now will be representing India in this ambitious global project.
Dolly will be sharing her experiences and inviting women to share their voices and vision at beheard.mars.com. She will be joined by an exciting roster of women from diverse sectors and geographies such as Emmy award-winning actress and host Tamera Mowry-Housley to influencers including Poppy Jamie, Hani Sidow, Helen Wu and Kellie Gerardi.
#HereToBeHeard is a response lead campaign and rally cry that asks all women to answer “What needs to change so more women can reach their full potential?” Mars will review all submissions as well as compile a study, turning the insights and ideas it hears from women into tangible, immediate action for Mars and calling on peers and partners to do the same.
#HereToBeHeard is part of the larger Mars Full Potential Campaign/initiative where Mars is committed to supporting women in our workplace, communities amd marketplace. This campaign is a way to hear from women, learn from them, and ensure their voices are heard.
Dolly stated, “I'm so happy to be a part of the #heretobeheard campaign, it is great working with a brand that is working towards women empowerment and striving to make a positive change.’’
Victoria Mars, Mars Board Member and ambassador of Mars' Full Potential program said, "Women have played a powerful role in our history and leadership at Mars. But we have more to do. We're striving to empower more women within our workplace, and across our extended value chain. The magnitude and urgency of gender inequality in society demand more action. If global business doesn't listen and step up now, then when? Business can have an outsized impact on driving change at scale. At Mars, we're seizing this opportunity to expand the conversation and drive action. The #HereToBeHeard movement is about ensuring that all women's voices have a chance to be heard and translating what we hear into impact plans that advance gender equality."
